We have seen many inventions along the years. Many failures and massive things that have come to fruition. When I sat in class in the early 1970's, Junior High, they showed us a film that portrayed cars flying and homes popping out meals and diagnosing your illnesses. They said it would be here by year 2000. The only thing I saw that came close to it in my years, by the year 2000, was the cartoon "The Jetsons".
The year 2000 never hit the mark actually many thought that was the year that the Earth would end. Again, nothing.
However, in the car industry we have seen some advancements. Such as the air bags, auto park, auto stop, Bluetooth connectivity. With Bluetooth connectivity different manufacturers have multiple uses for it. GM Chevrolet allows you to start your car through your smart phone. We have back up cameras and night vision in some models from Mercedes-Benz, Cadillac, Audi and BMW. We also have Hybrids and Electric cars. Also, they can track your car to it's precise place that's the so called gem of the computer age and cars. That way if you are in an accident you can be found or if someones been abducted. It's great in those situations. But are there situations where you feel like you are being watched? Tell me your thoughts.
Now on the horizon they are experimenting with cars that will drive you by computer. No more people driving you. That would let you do work etc. It would also keep people who have had one to many from getting behind the wheel. But would you feel safe? I have no problem with the safety features. I just wonder what would happen if still the car had an accident because somebody hacked a mainframe. Will there be a backup to correct this? Hackers are out there and just to see if it can be done I would bet one would try it. Right now I hate riding in the back of the car as I get motion sickness. A driver-less car? Well I know that our society must go forward and advance as we try to outdo the other countries of this world. But as for me I want some type of way out if I see an accident on the verge.
What's your thoughts and opinions?
As we flow through life we meet people, fall in love, transpire over obstacles, celebrate moments, fall to our knees in despair and heartbreak. We learn and grow as the events of the world around us continually push us evermore onward through our journey of life until we greet our final destiny (whatever that may be for each person's belief).

How Doctors just hand out opiates like candy...and now the Government wants to stop it..LOL
I have been having a lot of pain in my hip and spine, Horrific to explain it in layman's terms, quit taking that new medication the pain doctor gave me. I wonder why they don't read allergies of their patients or inform patients what is included in the medication they are prescribing. Asking for a referral to a different pain doctor at the hospital that will give me trigger point injections and steroid injections in my hip and low back. That's all I wanted to from the pain doctor not pills. I'm wondering why we have such a large epidemic here in Oklahoma on Opiates when Dr's. like the one I recently saw just has you pee and gives you a Rx. It's this that doesn't help those who really need it.
These type of Doctors are normally called pain mill doctors and won't be around for too long. These doctors make the real pain doctors hesitate in giving pain meds when a person really needs them. This doctor I saw on 2/22 and he ordered to have a series of images done on my C/5 to my tail bone done at the hospital in that town. Well, good ole me called 5-6 times the Radiology department during the month and also left messages upon the person's v.m. that sends these out. I never got a call. So when I returned on 3/22 I did a piss test, I had itched all month but blamed it on some new stuff I added to my laundry soap as I am so sensitive to soaps etc., went to a room. A woman was there we sat across from each other, I would actually say it could be a interrogation room you see on t.v., I started to say something she said hush I'm waiting on your piss results. Someone brought a page in, she told me to get an appt. and go back to chairs and she would be out soon. She came out and handed me the prescription if Deluded. I refilled then, by then all my clothes I had washed in the other stuff had been rewashed in my sensitive All again. So, I took the pill that night and for a few more nights. I was itching and popping Benydryl like candy. Finally, called my Pharmacist and found out the medication was actually a synthetic of Morphine. The intense itching and over use of Benydryl was not worth it. Not to mention Morphine is my worst #1 Allergy I have with Tylenol falling in second. It only proves he never checked my Allergies and he never disclosed what was in the medication he was giving me.
The lady in Radiology at the hospital told me the name of a pain Dr. there that will give me the pain shots I need and no narcotics. I called that pain doctor's office asking for a referral and I also called my PCP, doubting I would get one from the other doctor, to get a referral. I hope soon to have something to help me. My right hip is killing me but I know it will take to the second appt. to get a shot.
The Doctors have caused an epidemic of people addicted to Opiates and it's not easy to get them off the drugs. There is one thing, that the FDA and Big Pharma wants to squash and make illegal that does help people get off opiates and it's nothing but a leaf from the coffee family. Kratom. Yeah, you read the B.S. about it causing 3 deaths a while back. But the Coroner himself came out and said that those 3 individuals died of HEROIN overdoses but just happened to have Kratom in there system so the FDA and Big Pharm could start their crusade of banning it so they would not loose their, cut of the pie, money with some other off the wall pill to get people off of opiates but probably addicts them to something else. You can't take Kratom and Opiates together they will exclude one another and then you will still be in pain because they didn't work. I choose Kratom. All these years people have been choosing the plant called marijuana and now we find that without the THC in it's CBD state it can help with many diagnosis's including pain and seizures. There are dispensaries opening up in several places or already are in business for years.

From Mr. Whipple, in the 1970's to the Bears of today - Charmin is still around
As you can see Charmin is still around. Some products from the 50' to 70' just have disappeared. Well above is the Classic Charmin Commercial and below is the one we see today in 2018.
Quality is what is important in products we chose that are most important to us. That's why they will stay around or make a comeback like Palazzo pants, in my day those wide pants were called elephant ear pants. I sure hope that mini skirts don't make it back into schools. Their skirts are short enough. However, yes I did sport about in mini dresses, in my days however, they were more sporty and didn't show any bust it was like you were going to play tennis in the ones I wore.

Clear Back Packs Are Solution to Shooting
The shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students have now been provided with clear back packs for their safety from another shooter who may kill 17 or more classmates. Take this at face value. The school had to give the families free clear back packs that the kids didn't want. That was a total of 3,000 back packs. I'm sure that is a BIG PIECE OF THE PIE. When did our kids start going to Prison everyday then School. Really? How embarrassing is it for our teens to carry sanitary supplies and condoms in a clear back pack. Why couldn't that money been spent in a more efficient way? How much was spent? Remember the teachers walked out on 4/2/2018 due to low wages. Did this money come from money that could've paid the teachers of our Children??
I'm for the rights of "We the People."...........But I am against kids or people shooting people. I am for the right to bear arms if someone is trying to hurt me or my family physically torturing us. Or to go shoot some meat for the freezer. Those are my limitations. But I am not for Kids or Adults shooting people in Schools, Random Places, and Just for the fun of it.
Okay, back to clear back packs, are they bullet proof? No. Now if they were it would be a better idea. As you could shield your way in some form. I have grandchildren now to worry about. One is graduating with honors, Valedictorian, and a Scholarship this June in FL. I am very proud of her and her intelligence. But I also have, one getting a GED due to dyslexia, so that means I have currently have 3 in school, one in diapers and one on the way. We need to learn to stop the bullying first of all because that has been motive at least in 1-2 cases of the school shootings.
How do we stop Bullying?
answers please in comments
How do we make schools safer but not prisons?
answers please in comments
How can we pay our teachers better?
answers please in comments
Any Ideas??
Because I believe they could've paid the teachers with the money spent on see through back packs.
After that I have no more ideas. How about you?

Living in Pain
I have been living in chronic pain everyday for the past 20 years. I know everyone has pain issues. Most of the time we can relieve it with some Tylenol, Aspirin or Motrin products. Hey, I'm going on the record that I can not take anything with Tylenol, so then there is Motrin great product also Aspirin of which I like the BC brand mostly. Really though are the Brand Product or Store Brand any better or different? Well, throwing everything at me over all these years, since I am allergic to narcotics so I
would say that the Store Brand works just as well as the Brand Product. Both are equal.Friday, March 30, 2018

A Month of Salads Buying just from day 1
On the first of this month I bought all salad fixings for the entire month. You're nodding and thinking pretty dumb----huh? cause it won't last-- it will wit brown or go bad. Well in most cases yes it would. Today I ate my last crisp salad with grape tomatoes and they were as good as the first day. Know your saying NO Friggin way she's off her rocker for sure. Let 's get the straight jacket and put her away. On the first when I got all my salad fixings, bagged salads, lettuces, mushrooms, grape tomatoes, feta cheese, Bleu cheese, Grilled chicken strips, croutons and 4 different type of vinergaretes. Ok the cheeses, dressings and croutons are classics that won't go bad. I divided up my salads into bags separating them into some small portions for side salad to go with a meat and bigger salads to be a meal. Some I added the tomatoes to others I did not. I seperated all the mushrooms into 4 seperate bags alone, as I could still reseal the bags as the bags go I had 2 bags of tomatoes, I did the chicken stips the same as I did the mushrooms ending up with 6 bags. All these bags were sealed up by my Seal A Meal. The only thing that I have to say is if I'm going to go with the mushrooms again I will have to use them before the 3rd wk--as that is when they got slimy - that is one reason I seperated some items out. So from the 1st of March to the 29th of March I ate fresh salads. There were a few days I did not eat salad but I'd guess I ate 22 salads and each of them as fresh as the first. So if you are a salad lover but don't want to go to the store every 3 days this is a great way to do it or if you are dieting too.

Life: Make Lemons or just Cry?
Life some days can catch you with your pants down. This past summer I learned I had a small heart attack and also R-sided Congested Heart Failure. Wow, after all my other diagnosis' this is the one that really made me feel depressed and cry a lot. I did a lot of research on it and realized I was NOT in stage 1 since that was practically nothing. I was in probably midway thru stage 2 at that time. By now, seven months later, I feel I am beginning stage 3 or even 3 1/2. I know the saying when life throws lemons at you - you make lemonade. Also that God will never let you go thru anything that he doesn't think you can endure with him beside you.
I cry every day though. Is this my last? I made a bucket list of only 3 things when I was diagnosed with the CHF. I was lucky that I didn't have any arteries clogged - so I rejoice for that. But I do have high blood pressure and have to limit my salt, funny thing is since I was 15 and cooked at the Senior Center in CA, I never have salted anything since when I cook since. BP is under control as is the high cholesterol which I never had before coming to Oklahoma. I've endured over 16 years with Meniere's. I have had Chronic Migraines since age 25. Some of you know that about me. Well, back to the bucket list. Listing of only 3 things:
1) to hold my son's first son when he had one - he had one Feb. 17th 2017 so I have gotten to do that - praise God.
2) To see my first born Grand-daughter graduate. She is going to be Valedictorian and already has a scholarship to the school she wants to go to. She is 19 and graduates High School with Honors and gives her Valedictorian speech and already has her scholarship. I have been planning and saving for this coming June 3rd to see that happen. The bus ride is going to be 24 hours and 5 minutes with 4 different stops and changes. This will be hard on my Meniere's I know. I have my pug, Boo, registered as an ESA and can take her with me to keep me calm. Also, my fall on 2/21 getting out of the tub and doing the splits hurt my back in really horrible shape therefore I am in so much pain. But if I don't go my Daughter will be angry at me and disown me like she is the rest of the family). At the moment I am the only one going. So I will need to go and it is something I want to do as it is number 2 on my list.
3) To be recognized for my writings. I have had some writings put into those almanacs but you must pay so you really aren't getting there on your own merit. I have had some poems put in magazines but have only been paid in issues, And I have written for a column for an online magazine which made me feel pretty good but they went under. Recently, I wrote a short story for a contest-the winner gets $350---now that would make my bus ticket to a plane ticket and make my struggles in writing mean something to me. Not sure if I really will ever get number three accomplished before the end.
I feel like all I am doing is pasting a smile on my face no matter what the pain is from, my Fibromyalgia, back, migraines etc. or even dizziness from my Menieres. People ask why can't you just go" you look fine to me" and I just tell them I'm tired or I have a migraine because I live with horrible fatigue too. Those are the only two excuses they understand--they don't believe in Fibromyalgia or some of the other things that are associated with it. I feel trapped in a body with no release, Sleep??? LOL. I do have to try to get a nap during the day. A shower feels like pellets hitting your skin it makes you not want to take one. I try very hard to take at least 2-3 per wk. The frustration of those who are non-believers makes my anxiety pop it's ugly head up and look around and say "you don't know whatcha' talking about". My Uncle can;t walk past me without poking me. He is a non-believer.
I will be posting articles written about others to let you know what we go through. This is just my personal account of what my days are like.
